Q: I don’t live Far Out West, how can I make sure everything I need for my wedding or event is taken care of?
A: That’s what we do best! We know the area well, and realize it’s a destination and not conducive to in-person meetings or walk thru’s for our clients. Far Out West Events will manage all aspects of your wedding or event while keeping communication with you a priority to ensure your plan comes together perfectly.
Q: My venue has a Venue Coordinator. Do I need a Wedding Planner?
A: As a general rule, both are great to have on wedding days. Venue Coordinator’s primary role is to protect the venue. You can expect them to make sure rules are being followed, to confirm the layout, and to provide facilities in good working order.
A wedding planner’s primary role is to make sure the day runs smoothly. With Far Out West Events you can expect detailed timelines and floor plans, direct the rehearsal, meet day-of deliveries and vendors, line up and cue the ceremony processional, and attend to the couple on the day of the wedding as they need. We also take on a few more duties such as working with a couple to understand their preferences, style, budget, and personalities. We communicate throughout the planning process to keep tasks on track, make personalized vendor recommendations, answer logistical and etiquette questions, coordinate hotel blocks and transportation, and much more.
Q: Where do you plan events?
A: Far Out West Events covers the Big Bend area, including but not limited to Marfa, Alpine, Fort Davis, Marathon, Lajitas, Terlingua, and beyond. We are also available for destination events that require travel.
Q: Is there a minimum budget that you work with/what is your pricing?
